Terms for Soom Retreat's website
Soom Retreat is a day retreat in Snohomish, Washington, run by Hye Young Kim Counseling & Soom Retreat Center. This website publishes what Soom Retreat offers and lets you join the email list, join a waiting list, ask a question, and reserve a place at a retreat. F2B builds and operates the website on Soom Retreat's behalf; using it does not create an agreement between you and F2B.
A retreat is a wellness experience, not health care. Retreat days are facilitated by people who hold professional licenses, including licensed mental health counselors, but attending a retreat does not begin a counseling or therapeutic relationship, is not therapy, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for care from your own provider. Group conversation during a retreat is a shared activity rather than group therapy, and facilitators keep no clinical record of it. Hye Young Kim's counseling practice is separate from the retreat: booking a retreat does not make you a client of that practice, and nothing said at a retreat becomes part of a clinical record. If you are in crisis or need urgent help, contact your own provider or emergency services. Soom Retreat does not offer crisis or emergency support, and nobody monitors this website for it.
Reserving a place is an agreement with Soom Retreat. The price, the date, the hours, any minimum group size, and any advance notice a retreat needs are shown with that retreat and confirmed to you by email. Those details, and the cancellation, change, and refund terms shown alongside them, are what govern your reservation. This page does not set them. If anything about a reservation is unclear, please ask before you book: soomretreat@gmail.com or 425-540-1653.
Where a retreat is paid for through this website, payment is handled by Stripe, Soom Retreat's payment processor. Soom Retreat receives a record of what was paid and for what; card details go to Stripe and are held by neither Soom Retreat nor F2B.
Some retreats are for adults, and some admit younger attendees: the Digital Detox retreat is open to ages 13 and up. Where an attendee is under 18, a parent or guardian registers them, gives consent, and is the person Soom Retreat contracts with and contacts. Conditions that shape a particular day are stated with that retreat (the Digital Detox day, for example, collects phones at the entrance), and booking a place means accepting them.
Registration asks a small number of questions so that the day is safe and comfortable: things like dietary needs, accessibility needs, and anything you would like a facilitator to know. Answer only what you are willing to share. Health-related answers, and answers about an attendee under 18, are handled under the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy linked at the foot of this page, which sets out what is asked, who sees it, and how long it is kept.
A retreat day may include a tea ceremony, aromatherapy, gentle movement or yoga, a sound bath, journaling, and time outdoors on the grounds. Take part in whatever way suits you and leave out anything that does not. If an injury, a pregnancy, an allergy, a health condition, or a mobility need might affect how you take part, please tell us before the day so we can talk it through properly rather than work it out on arrival.
The assistant on this website answers from Soom Retreat's published information. It can be wrong or out of date, it is not a person, and it is not a counselor. What it says is not a commitment by Soom Retreat, and it is the wrong place for anything clinical or urgent. For that, contact Soom Retreat directly, or emergency services in an emergency.
Joining the email list or a waiting list is a request to be contacted. It does not reserve a place or confirm availability. Email signup is confirmed by email, and every message carries a way to unsubscribe. A waiting-list place becomes a reservation only when Soom Retreat offers it to you and you accept.
What this website says about dates, prices, and availability can change. Please use the site as intended: do not attempt to break it, overload it, or reach information that is not yours. Questions about anything on this page: soomretreat@gmail.com, 425-540-1653, or Soom Retreat, 18310 James St, Snohomish, WA 98296.
