A Place to Exhale

Soom is the Korean word for breath. Tucked away in Snohomish, Washington, just 30 minutes from Seattle, Soom Retreat is a sanctuary designed for slowing down. It is a space for mindful rest and quiet connection, where curated day retreats, private gatherings and celebrations, and Self-Led Fridays offer you the time to pause and return to yourself.

About Us

At Soom, Breath Becomes Sanctuary

Soom, the Korean word for “breath,” is a day retreat designed to nurture emotional balance through tactile, sensory-rich experiences.

Hye Young Kim, LMHC, founded Soom to give people a place to relax and to try wellness rituals as they look for ways to support their mental health.

She has worked in mental health for more than 17 years. Soom is the retreat she built from that practice, pairing gentle therapeutic guidance with a space set aside for quiet reflection.
