Privacy notice for Soom Retreat
This notice explains what Soom Retreat collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. Soom Retreat decides what is asked and why. F2B builds and operates the website, the registration system, and the records behind them as Soom Retreat's service provider, under contract, and handles this information only on Soom Retreat's instructions.
What this notice covers
Information collected through this website. It does not cover what Soom Retreat is told in person or over the phone, and it does not cover Hye Young Kim's counseling practice, which is a separate service with its own records. Health-related answers and answers about an attendee under 18 are covered by the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy instead of this notice; where the two overlap, that policy governs.
What we collect
If you join the email list or a waiting list: your email address, and your name and mobile number if you give them, together with the consent choice you made and the record of when and how you made it. If you register for a retreat: who is attending, how to reach you, and your answers to the registration questions. If you use the assistant or a message form: what you write in it. If you pay through the site: a record of what was paid and for what. Card details go to Stripe and are held by neither Soom Retreat nor F2B. Alongside all of these, every visit leaves ordinary technical records (IP address, browser and device information, the page that referred you, and timestamps) kept to deliver the site, secure it, and prevent abuse.
How we use it
To answer you, to confirm a signup, to hold a waiting-list place, to take and confirm a registration, and to run the retreat day itself. A facilitator and the kitchen need to know about a dietary need, and that is why the question exists. Also to keep a record of the consent choices you made, to honor a later request to stop, to prevent abuse, and to find and fix faults. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we run no advertising trackers on this site.
Health-related answers and attendees under 18
These are handled under Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and are treated more strictly than anything else on this page: consent is asked separately before collection, an answer is hidden on the participant roster until someone deliberately reveals it, revealing one is recorded, and it is not used for marketing. The Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy linked at the foot of this page is the full account, and it is the one that governs them.
Who it is shared with
Soom Retreat's facilitators and kitchen, so far as running your retreat day requires. F2B, as the service provider operating the website and the records. Stripe, for payment, which receives the amount, the item, and your email address for the receipt. Nobody else, unless the law requires it. We do not sell this information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long it is kept
Registration answers and contact details are kept for 12 months after the retreat they were given for, and then deleted. Health-related answers and answers about an attendee under 18 are deleted 90 days after that retreat. Deletion happens on its own; you do not have to ask, and asking earlier is also your right. Where a consent record, a suppression entry, or a financial record has to outlive the rest, we keep only that.
Your choices
You can withdraw a consent you gave, leave the email list using the link in any message, and ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or its deletion. Withdrawing consent does not undo what was lawfully done before you withdrew it, but it stops any further use. Registering for a retreat does not add you to a marketing list; joining one is a separate choice you make yourself.

If what we collect, who sees it, or how long we keep it changes, we update this page and change the date above before the change takes effect.
